Itinerary
- Welcome to Sri Lanka! Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to Kandy with a stop at the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Spread across 24 acres, this renowned sanctuary cares for orphaned and injured elephants and is also one of the few breeding centers for elephants in the world, with the first baby elephant born here in 1984. After observing these gentle giants, continue your journey to Kandy and check in to your hotel. Later, enjoy a Kandy city tour followed by a traditional cultural show showcasing Sri Lankan music and dance. Overnight stay in Kandy.
- After breakfast, proceed to the scenic hill town of Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as the “Little England” of Sri Lanka due to its cool climate and colonial charm. En route, visit the sacred Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple and the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens, Peradeniya, which is home to more than 5,000 species of plants, trees, and creepers. The gardens are famous for their orchid collection and towering palm avenues. After the visits, continue to Nuwara Eliya and check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
- After breakfast, begin the day with a visit to the sacred Seetha Amman Temple, believed to be the place where Sita was held captive according to the epic Ramayana. Continue your exploration with a city tour of Nuwara Eliya, enjoying its charming colonial buildings, scenic landscapes, and cool climate. Later, visit Gayathri Peedam, another important spiritual site associated with Ramayana legends. After the sightseeing, return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer back to Colombo, the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, enjoy a comprehensive city tour covering some of the city’s famous landmarks including Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, National Museum of Colombo, the World Trade Center Colombo towers, the historic Old Parliament Building, Colombo, the Fort District, Colombo, and Independence Memorial Hall at Independence Square. You will also have the opportunity to visit various religious sites representing Sri Lanka’s diverse cultures. Later, enjoy some shopping at popular malls and boutiques such as Odel, House of Fashion, Majestic City, and Noritake. Overnight stay in Colombo.
- After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for your onward flight, taking back wonderful memories of your Sri Lankan holiday.
